When selling or letting property, it is necessary to provide an accurate drawing which identifies the leasehold demise within the property boundary. This must comply with the current regulations as set out in the Land Registration Act 2002. Compliant plans must be drawn to a recognised scale in metric units, show the demise within the building and the building within the context of the surrounding areas, have the full address, have the floor level, scale bar and north point, hence why utilising a surveyor to develop a lease plan is recommended.
